		<description>I don&#039;t know about most women in those days -- but I do know that fundamentalist religion did play a major part in the role of women in that time. There was so much emphasis on being &quot;subservient&quot;. I do know it was a strong factor with most of my mother&#039;s church women and her sisters (my aunts) as well.</description>
