The Wellness Parts of YOU — Part Three
January 13, 2006
Hello — There I go again — promising to have an article ready for you and then I vanish for the day. Obviously, I didn’t get back here yesterday. All the intentions were good — and I had the article pretty much done, but got side-tracked on a project to get more people to find this blog.
So, without further ado —
We’ve talked about two of the wellness parts of YOU — the “inner” you and the “outer” you. We talked about the foods you eat and the way you eat them so as to help your wellness factors. You want to be sure you’re focusing on good carbs and good fats (and when we say GOOD carbs — that doesn’t include sugar — that’s one of the bad ones, folks!). And you want to make it a habit to eat slowly and chew your food completely. When your body is digesting good food properly, you will not have to store excess fat.
We talked about starting another habit for your wellness — and that is to make a habit out of exercise. If you’re looking for ways to feel better — and lose some weight — it takes making good food choices and getting at least 30-minutes of fat-burning exercise every day.
Follow these items and you are on your way to the wonderful feelings that can come when your wellness program is in full swing.
Let’s talk for a moment about the rest of the Wellness Parts of YOU — the parts that are your “external” you — the parts that include everything around you.
The most important part of your “external” you is your kitchen! It is the most important room in your home when it comes to your wellness program. Sure, there are other rooms and areas around you that affect your health and wellness, but for today we’re going to focus on your kitchen.
