Knowing the signs and symptoms of lung cancer are useful when one is attempting to predict the severity and also the likelihood of having the disease. What is frustrating is that 20% to 25% of the patients who are actually suffering from lung cancer, show no signs or symptoms of the disease in the early stages. Oftentimes, neither the patient nor the clinician even think about lung cancer until the signs do begin to show after the disease has progressed much further.
